CP3300
The generic orthotic shell
that emulates the functions of
custom-made foot orthotics.
It is a known fact that gravity, balance, weight and a person’s
occupational or sports activities have a lot to do with feet,
back and neck problems and are related to the demands
placed on one’s feet.
Since 1986, Dr. Howard J. Marshall, DPM, and the research
team at Professional Footcare International, in the U.S.A.,
spent five years studying the relationship between foot shapes,
biomechanical requirements and custom-made orthotics.
The result was the CP-3300 generic shell, which is an
injection-moulded white polypropylene semi - flexible orthotic
that emulates the function of custom-made foot orthotics.
These orthotics were computer designed to treat the most
universal foot problems in adults. The slim, low-profile design
for easy shoe fit, became available in Australia in 1992.
Consequently, the above was extended to generic, deeper heel
cup, shells for Kiddies aged I - 4, and Juniors aged 4 - 7.
Our orthotics provide an effective pronation control.
These generic devices can easily be adapted to a patient’s
special needs by adding posting, covers and accommodations,
adjusting the arch with a heat gun and/or to be used as an
interim measure. They are guaranteed not to break.
We offer a most inexpensive unit to build upon and create a
very personalised orthotic device at a very minimal cost, one
suitable for those not requiring a custom designed product.
It is our opinion that each client should be fitted individually
so as to ensure the device sits behind the metatarsal heads. |
